Tale of two slaps ,an unknown "PRESENCE" Scared my real cousin.

This is a true story ,my mom told me one day when she and her sis was saying their prayers someone slapped my cousin which was sleeping in the same room (he was of just one year old) .He began to cry but my Mom says there was no one present there expect her and her sis.

The question is who was that Presence :A jinn ,ghost,angel or it could be a human who knows Black magic and just wanted to scare my mom and her sis.

This did not happen only with my cousin it also happened with my aunt to in the same house and the same room.

No one really knows what was that but there was a presence ,a supernatural power , which was scaring them.

The corpse eating goat-like creature - 110 years ago true story

This is a true event my grandmother told me and it happened to my grandmother's great grandmother.
In those days there used to be no airplanes, no buses and no cars especially not in the subcontinent, there were a only a few dirt roads but for most part of the country there were practically no roads and people would use the sun, moon, stars and landmarks to travel.
One day my great great great grandfather became fatally ill and in those days there were no doctors but there were 'Peers' (spiritual healers) and a few 'Hakeem' (herbal medicine users), so his wife (my great.g.g.grandmother) decided to take him to a renowned Hakeem who was also her distant relative but he lived in another city about 400 km away. She packed much of their belongings, hired a cart driver (it was common to travel by cart), got her ill husband and took off. It was a long journey taking about 9 days, most of the journey was through a jungle, which had practically no roads but there were lots of clear spaces and the sky was easily visible at all times. They used to travel by day and rest by night.
Finally they reached the Hakeem and stayed with him so that he could treat her husband. They stayed there 2 moths but her husbands condition only got worse until one day the Hakeem told her that her husband wasn't going to make it and that she better head back home before he dies.
So disappointed and grieved she again hired a cart and headed back for home. Her husband by now wasn't able to move much so he kept sleeping all the time. It was during this time on the return journey that something strange started happen. The cart driver and the wife started to see something which would appear far away but disappear once they looked, they thought it was probably an animal but wondered why it would be following them for so many days?
5 days into the journey the husband died ! the wife cried of-course but they continued with the journey. On the 6th night they stopped in a clearing to spend the night,. The wife and cart driver gathered some wood and lit a fire a 10-15 yards away from the cart (which contained the dead husband). The moonlight was good that night because it revealed the 'animal' that had been following them for so many days. Near midnight they were sitting around the fire when they saw a human like face very far away behind some rocks, it disappeared as they saw it. They got nervous for a sec but then decided to ignore it as the visibility was poor, so may be it was some animal. After sometime they again saw that human-like face but this time a bit nearer and again it disappeared. They kept seeing it from time to time and they kept ignoring it but every time it was getting closer. But after sometime it stopped appearing, it didn't appear for a few hours, so that the wife and cart driver forgot about it. They weren't going to sleep after all that had happened so kept on chatting while sitting around the fire.
Amidst all this the wife heard a crackling sound from the direction of the cart and she threw an instinctive glance towards it and what she saw there was the most horrifying event of her life There was this large GOAT who was leaning into the cart, chewing on her husband and trying to pull him out, the size of the goat is what scared her it was too large to be a normal goat. She screamed, this got the drivers attention who went pale on looking at the creature. They were both frozen to their seats while the 'Goat' ignoring them completely went on with it's chewing and pulling. Suddenly the wife got a burst of anger seeing this thing chew her just dead husband, she picked one of the firewood and ran like a mad-woman towards the creature screaming out loud. This somehow scared the thing and it decide to run away but that's when she saw it's humanly face ! it was a near human face except the skin looked thicker and paler and it had big wild eyes. Within seconds the thing ran far out of sight into the woods.
In the end it turned out that the wife had to take a detour to a near by river to dispose her half chewed and now rotting husband. She never went back to her home city instead she started a new life at a new place. She tried to do some research on that creature she had seen but no one had ever encountered it before, so it remained an unsolved mystery.

Someone present two places at the same time - real story

This is a event my family talks about and it happened with one of my cousins:

On 24 June 2004 my cousins were gathered at my grandmothers house. This is an very large and old house bought by my grandfather about 50 years ago, it's said that there used to be a graveyard where the house stands now, many of my personal and family paranormal experiences have occurred here. That day one of my cousins experienced one very vivid and real paranormal event, it was so real that he was unaware it had happened until about two months later, when he learned that my elder step sister (who lives in another city) hadn't even been to our city in over a year.
When he came to know this at a causal family discussion he became pale to death, he said it was impossible because that day (2 months earlier) he had chatted with her (alone) for about an hour in the dinning room of my grandmothers house !

Another short experience happened to myself when i was only 7. All us brothers and sisters (5 of us) were playing hide n seek with kids who's house was just opposite our grandmothers (our house at that time), their house was also old and big like ours. During that play something weird happened, my little sis was the one seeking and rest of us were hiding. I was hiding in a two way corridor, i was actually just standing at the junction of two long corridors  which had glass doors at their ends. I saw my little sis approaching on of the glass doors from the outside, so i turned at started to run towards the other glass door but before i could do that I saw my little sis standing behind the other glass door as well !

The Investigation:
 We did a bit of digging found some interesting culprits.
Here's a list of possible paranormal beings/creatures which can change form and appear as someone else:
1. Skin walkers/ Shape shifters :  These were the ones which we were particularly interested in because the main focus of these supernatural beings is to transmogrify (change form).  Mostly they change into animal forms but they can even take on human forms.
The Navajo people are among those to describe the skin walkers or as they say "yee naaldlooshii", they used to believe that such powers of shape changing are acquired by those who commit social taboos (for more info check this wiki article: skin walkers).
Shape shifters appear more in European folklore and literature, such shape shifting abilities are even demonstrated in modern day books and movies like the 'Harry Potter series' (where they appear as 'Animagi') and 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' (for more info read this wiki on Shape Shifters).


2. Changelings: These are mythical creatures mostly from western European folklore, these usually appear in the form of human children. Usually some supernatural creature like a fairy or elf has replaced a human child with a changeling. More info at this wiki: Changelings


3. Jinn: In our local almost every paranormal event can be attributed to this single creature as it has many powers including the power to change form. This was the first explanation I got from an elder when I told him my story of seeing my sister in two places. Here's a great article on the topic: Jinn


4. Angels: We can all agree that Angles have been mentioned all over time and space in my writings and almost always they appear in human like forms and they have powers to do almost anything.


A few questions still remain like why do such beings exist and why would any of these beings want to take on the forms of my sisters or for that matter whats the motive behind anything these beings do?

According to wikipedia 'paranormal' can be defined as "experiences that lie outside the range of normal experience or scientific explanation". Simply said it refers to an observation, phenomenon or event which defies our normal perceptions of this world and reality.

Those of us who are keener, observant and curious tend to stumble upon this 'other reality' quite more often than others and sometimes even the other simpler minded of our fellows find themselves confronted by this paranormal reality.

We're a few friends who've had more than our fair share of supernatural experiences. At first we probably got scared and tried to ignore, suppress or rationalize these events (all these are defense mechanisms) but after many years and hearing stories from so many folk in our area including friends and relatives, we've come to terms with this reality and now it's time to uncover these mysteries and dig a bit deeper into the truth.

So we setup this blog to share the local stories, investigate further and co-relate our local myths and mysteries with existent historical and global knowledge on these subjects.
